Only $15 per Notary!
When a loved one is receiving hospice care, is bedridden, homebound, hospitalized, or has limited mobility, traveling to a notary office may not be possible.
Cheri's Notaries provides compassionate mobile hospice and bedside notary services in Redlands, Loma Linda, San Bernardino, and throughout the Inland Empire.
I come directly to the signer—whether they are at home, in hospice care, at a hospital, nursing facility, assisted living community, or rehabilitation center.
Need a bedside notary today? Call or text (909) 802-3192.
Depending on the document and the notarization requested, bedside appointments may involve:
Powers of Attorney
Trust documents
Deeds
Affidavits
Advance Health Care Directives
Estate planning documents
Authorization forms
Other documents requiring notarization
Please have the documents prepared before the appointment. A California notary cannot select or prepare legal documents or provide legal advice unless separately authorized by law to do so.
Even during a hospice or bedside appointment, California notary requirements still apply.
The signer must personally appear before the notary and satisfactory evidence of identity must be established as required for the notarization.
If you're unsure whether your loved one's identification will work, call me before the appointment. We can discuss what identification they currently have and whether another legally permitted identification method may be available.
Being bedridden, elderly, ill, or receiving hospice care does not automatically prevent someone from having a document notarized.
Every appointment is handled individually and with patience, dignity, and respect.
The signer still needs to be able to personally participate in the notarization and meet the requirements for the requested notarial act.
If there are concerns about your loved one's condition, communication abilities, identification, or ability to sign, please tell me before I arrive so we can discuss the situation.
Don't automatically assume that a physical limitation means a notarization can't be completed.
California law contains specific requirements for certain signatures made by mark. Because additional requirements may apply, please tell me when scheduling if the signer cannot physically sign their usual signature.
I'll let you know what may be needed for the notarial appointment.
Family members and caregivers are welcome to help coordinate the appointment.
However, the notarization is between the notary and the person whose signature is being notarized. When necessary, I may need to communicate directly with the signer without another person answering on their behalf.
This protects the signer and helps ensure the notarization is completed properly.
To help your bedside notary appointment go smoothly, please have:
The document ready for notarization
The signer present
Acceptable identification available
Any witnesses required by the document arranged in advance
Facility access information, if applicable
Parking or room information
Contact information for the person coordinating the appointment
Please do not wait until the last minute if you know a document will need to be notarized. Hospice and bedside appointments sometimes require additional preparation.
I believe in being upfront about pricing.
California notarial fees are separate from any applicable mobile travel, after-hours, waiting-time, parking, or special-location service fees.
Tell me where the signer is located and what you need notarized, and I'll provide the applicable pricing before the appointment.
Cheri's Notaries is based in Redlands, California and provides hospice and bedside mobile notary services throughout the Inland Empire, including:
Redlands • Loma Linda • San Bernardino • Highland • Yucaipa • Colton • Riverside • Moreno Valley • Beaumont and surrounding communities.
Need service outside these areas? Contact me. Longer-distance mobile appointments may be available.
When your loved one can't come to a notary, I'll bring the notary to them.
I understand that families contacting me for hospice and bedside appointments may already be dealing with a difficult or stressful situation. My goal is to make the notary portion of the process as straightforward, respectful, and convenient as possible.
Same-day and after-hours appointments may be available.
